From Art and Heritage to the Heart of Pizza: The Story of Storia

At Storia Pizza al Taglio, our journey is the story of two dreamers—Alireza and Hasti—coming together to create something extraordinary.
 

Alireza, an artist and curator, spent years bridging cultures and telling stories through exhibitions and contemporary art. When life took an unexpected turn, his passion for connection led him from galleries to the universal language of pizza.
 

Hasti, a pharmacist by training, grew up surrounded by the sweet aromas of her father’s bakery—one of the most beloved in their hometown. Watching her father pour his heart into every creation, she dreamed of one day opening a café or pizzeria that carried the same warmth and love.
 

When their families met, it became clear that their shared passion for food and community could spark something incredible. Together, they decided to dedicate all their energy, creativity, and love to crafting pizzas so special that Italians who taste them affectionately call them “Grandma Pizza.”
 

We’re not Italian, but we’ve learned the language of pizza through hard work, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to authenticity. Our Pizza al Taglio is a Roman-style pizza crafted with a 4-day sourdough fermentation process, premium ingredients, and a focus on quality. Italians who visit Storia often tell us it feels like home—a testament to the heart and effort we pour into every slice.
